Contract Rules Expalined

The league has a contract limit of 4 years when resigning a player or signing them in free agency.

When a player requests a contract longer than 4 years the user can make the commissioners aware and then offer the player a longer contract which will be shortened by being edited down to 4 years by a commissioner without it changing the cap hit. This is shown below:

However, if a contract longer than 4 years is offered without the permission of a commissioner then the contract will be advanced so that only 4 years remain on it, this will have an effect on the cap hit.

Contracts to be shortened:
Chiefs - Kendall Fuller
Cowboys - Jaylon Smith
Jaguars - Miles Jack
Packers - Blake Martinez
Ravens - Matt Brieda
Titans - Derrick Henry
Titans - Marcus Mariota

Contracts to be advanced:
Browns - Joe Schobert
Chiefs - Emmanuel Ogbah
Panthers - Shaq Thompson
Saints - Eli Apple
Steelers - Ryan Shazier
Texans - DJ Reader
Texans - Jadeveon Clowney (to 5 years and then shortened)
