The Draft

The NFL Draft.

At the end of every in game season the NFL Draft will take place for the following season of the NFL UK Pro League. Players are responsible for scouting and managing their own draft boards throughout the season.

How does the draft run?

The slow draft runs from the end of free agency until the start of the main draft, the clock is paused as there are no time constraints on picks being made. It is down to the player before you to let you know when it is your turn to draft and your responsibility to let the next player know when you have picked. If you're completely unavailable for the slow draft your picks will be simulated and carried out by the CPU during the slow draft window.

At the time and date agreed for the main draft the clock will be un-paused and the clock will run at a normal speed for the remainder of the draft.

From round 2 onwards cpu and autopilot picks will be skipped to speed up the drafting process.

The clock will only be paused in the main draft for trades to be made. Trades must be agreed before your pick to keep the draft flowing.

Trading in the draft:

All trades between players are allowed but still require approval from a commissioner.
Trading with the CPU using the "Trade away pick option is allowed"
Manually trading with the CPU is not allowed!

Violating Rules

The following section lists the punishment for breaking league rules.
A suspension is where the player is set to autopilot.

Rage quitting:

If a player rage quits then they will not be allowed to compete in the playoffs that season, if they qualify they will be given a force loss in their 1st playoff game.

◙ If a player rage quits the 1st two offences are also 2 game suspensions, a 3rd offence will lead to ejection from the league.

If you suspect a rage quit or any other rule break, make a commissioner aware privately so we can investigate, do not put it in the group chat.. calling out another player like this will result in a 2 game suspension.

Breaking the 25 point rule:

Deliberately breaking the 25 point rule will result in a 2 game suspension

A second offence in the same season will result in a further 6 game suspension.

If a player deliberately breaks the 25 point rule 3 times in a 17 game window they will be ejected from the league.

Breaking the overtime rule:

If a player breaks the overtime rule and wins they will be suspended for 3 games.

Abusive behaviour:

Commissioner’s have final say on what is defined as poor conduct/abusive behaviour in all areas of the league. This includes but is not limited to; gameplay itself, the group chat and direct messages. There is no limit to any length suspension or ban a commissioner can give out.

Preseason

The following apply to the 1st preseason of each Madden.

The preseason will last around a week, the schedule for this will be shown on the schedule section of the blog and in the Facebook group.

When playing preseason games please check if your opponent is available in the gameweek before playing the CPU

Players will be told how many players they can sign in each gameweek of preseason. This is determined by their record on the previous madden and the overall rating of their team.

If you do not sign all the players you are allowed to sign in each gameweek they carry over to the next week of preseason.

When preseason ends free agency is a unrestricted.

The following rules apply to all preseasons from season 2 onwards

Preseason weeks 1-3 will be simulated with XP sliders turned down to 50%.

Preseason week 4 will see XP sliders turned up to 300% (do not train within 15 minutes of the advance to give commissioners a chance to set this up).

See free agency rules for regulations on signing players in preseason.

Resigning Players

There is no limit to the number of players you can resign.

The maximum length contract that can be offered to a player is 4 years. If a fair offer is more than 4 years send a photo to a commissioner, we will then shorten the contract without effecting the cap hit.

If a player is signed to a contract longer than 4 years without complying with the rule above then the contract will be condensed to 4 years, which will effect the cap hit. For more information on this click here.

Position Changes

Any changes made to the position of an Xfactor player must be made by a commissioner

Unrestricted position changes:

The following positions can be changed freely throughout the season:

All positions along the offensive line.

Between CB SS FS

Between ROLB MLB LOLB are allowed.

Between RE DT LE are allowed.

Position changes which require commissioner approval:

The following positions can be changed with commissioner approval:

Between ROLB RE LE LOLB.

Other position changes can be requested (eg WR to HB).

Arranging Games and Streaming

Arranging Games:

Games can be arranged by tagging your opponent in the Facebook group, group chat and sending them a direct message.

If you fail to respond to a message or tagged comment trying to arrange a game by 24h before the next advance you risk being put on autopilot.

If you back out of a game within the final 2 hours of a game week a force win could be awarded to your opponent.

When a game is arranged please post when it is being played in the group chat and tag a commissioner.

Players must keep notifications for mentions turned on in the Facebook group chat and have all commissioners added on Facebook messenger.

Players are to be mindful of their conduct when messaging other players. Abusive behaviour will lead to suspensions or removal from the league.

Streaming:

Preseason games do not have to be streamed although we recommend it.

All regular and post season games, including vs CPU, must be streamed and archived. However if the stream is affecting gameplay quality it can be cut.

All active streams must be shared in the group chat.

Overtime

The following rules apply when playing another user only, they do not apply vs autopilot or CPU

Neither team is allowed to kick a field goal on their 1st overtime possession.

If on 4th down during their 1st overtime possession the player can either punt or attempt to gain a 1st down/touchdown.

Once a player is on their second overtime possession a field goal can be kicked.

Chew clock is not allowed in overtime.

Deliberately burning clock/clock watching is not allowed, this will be at the discretion of the commissioners. To be safe, try to snap the ball as soon as you are ready.

Contract Rules Expalined

The league has a contract limit of 4 years when resigning a player or signing them in free agency.

When a player requests a contract longer than 4 years the user can make the commissioners aware and then offer the player a longer contract which will be shortened by being edited down to 4 years by a commissioner without it changing the cap hit. This is shown below:

However, if a contract longer than 4 years is offered without the permission of a commissioner then the contract will be advanced so that only 4 years remain on it, this will have an effect on the cap hit.

Contracts to be shortened:
Chiefs - Kendall Fuller
Cowboys - Jaylon Smith
Jaguars - Miles Jack
Packers - Blake Martinez
Ravens - Matt Brieda
Titans - Derrick Henry
Titans - Marcus Mariota

Contracts to be advanced:
Browns - Joe Schobert
Chiefs - Emmanuel Ogbah
Panthers - Shaq Thompson
Saints - Eli Apple
Steelers - Ryan Shazier
Texans - DJ Reader
Texans - Jadeveon Clowney (to 5 years and then shortened)
